description
One of its kind! This whisk holder was hand thrown on the wheel with high fire clay that is a porcelain and stoneware blend. This allows for a smoother surface and creates a more durable piece than stoneware alone. They are then fired twice - once in a bisque fire and another in a glaze fire. The egg yolk holds the whisk, while the egg white can double as a chashaku rest!
Pieces are glazed on the inside as well + have bottoms. They can be used as matcha accessory holders, pencil/pen cups, bud vases, and more. :D
All details and color are meticulously painted by hand with lots of love. <3
This piece has been discounted slightly because of a small crack on inside bottom of the whisk holder. This does not affect the functionality of the whisk holder in any way and is purely aesthetic. *Can be seen in the last photo*
dimensions
The yolk measures approximately 2.6" tall and 2.3" wide, while the egg white measures approximately 3.75" wide.
please note
Please note that all sales are final.
Please note that there may be slight variances in whisk holder sizes, the details of illustrations, and minor imperfections as these are completely handmade and each whisk holder is one of a kind. Thank you! :)
All photos have been taken in natural lighting (indirect and/or direct sunlight) in an effort to depict each piece as accurately as possible. However, please note that colors may vary slightly due to varying computer and monitor settings.
care instructions
Please handle all handmade pottery with care to ensure a lifetime of use and enjoyment. Hand washing will prolong the life of your pieces and is strongly recommended, as dishwasher detergent can degrade glazes and hand painted details over time. If a dishwasher must be used, please use a mild, bleach-free detergent. Detergents with oxygen or citrus can dull the finish.
