description
Inspired by a foggy, misty morning, this spouted matcha bowl was hand thrown on the wheel with high fire clay (porcelain and stoneware blend). The porcelain blend allows for a smoother surface and creates a more durable piece than stoneware alone! They were then fired twice - once in a bisque fire and another in a glaze fire. The glaze has a beautiful crackle effect in some areas.
This piece has been marked as seconds because there is a tiny pinhole on the inside of the bowl (please see last photo for reference). This does not affect the integrity nor the functionality of the bowl, and is purely visual.
dimensions
This piece measures approximately 4.5" wide and 3.15" in height.
please note
All photos have been taken in natural lighting (indirect and/or direct sunlight) in an effort to depict each piece as accurately as possible. However, please note that colors may vary slightly due to varying computer and monitor settings.
care instructions
Please handle all handmade pottery with care to ensure a lifetime of use and enjoyment. Hand washing will prolong the life of your pieces and is strongly recommended, as dishwasher detergent can degrade glazes and hand painted details over time. If a dishwasher must be used, please use a mild, bleach-free detergent. Detergents with oxygen or citrus can dull the finish.
Handmade ceramics may change over time naturally with use. Slight changes in color or staining are natural and are reflective of the vessel being loved and used, and do not result in issues of food safety.
